Terminal 2 operators - Air France (Brit Air & CityJet), British Airways Cityflyer, Brussels Airlines, Eastern Airways, Flybe, KLM, Sun-Air and Swiss Air Lines. All other airlines operate from Terminal 1.
Terminal 1 (T1)
The oldest of the two terminals has under gone massive refurbishments and
improvements and now has all the facilities needed for it to become a busy international
airport. All passengers before they fly have the opportunity to look round the wide range of
shops and restaurants including World News, Boots, Claire's Accessories plus loads more not forgetting Burger King.
There are many other facilities that passengers can
enjoy before flying, the airport has great executive lounges that are well-equipped and
passengers can enjoy a most efficient and friendly service designed to cater for the differing
needs of travellers passing through the airport. They have also created a Business facilities
area in the corridor opposite the executive lounges. Partitioned for privacy, it is available to
passengers needing to undertake work and facilities includes private booths with desk, fax and
phones, as well as Internet access.
After an extension to the Departure lounge, both Alpha Retail and Dixons now have new and enlarged stores along with World News. The lounge has also been brightened up with marble floors and ceiling lighting making it look spacious, pleasant and bright.

Terminal 2 (T2)
Formely known as the Eurohub, which opened in 1991, is one of the most technically-advanced airline
terminals in the world and is one of the few in Europe developed and financed by a public and
private joint venture. Laing was not only the designer and builder but, together with
Birmingham City Council, British Airways, National Car Parks (NCP) and Forte, was also a significant
shareholder in the US$ 41 million scheme.
The departure lounge area has been redesigned to create a
much more opened environment. There is also a new store called 'World News', the store provides
the perfect place to visit for those last minute travel and holiday essentials. The terminal offers all the usual
facilities, including shops, car hire
desks and refreshment areas.
The new Executive lounge is the Terminal 2's premier feature; further promoting Birmingham as the
most popular Business Traveller airport in the country.
Birmingham International Airport is trying to attract more airlines especially the business flights (ie. KLM) to use this terminal. Terminal 2 has recently seen a massive refurbishment in the concourse and check-in areas with new check-in desks, a new look both inside and out and major works still going ahead within the departurte lounge and gates. Also, Flybe have become 'the airline' in this terminal after the take-over of BA Connect.

Millennium Link
The Queen unveiled a plaque in the
Millennium Link that joins the two passenger terminals for the first time. This second phase of
the airport development costing £260 million is part of a 10-year improvement programme which
will enable the airport to handle some 10 million passengers by 2005.
The main Airport Information desk and Car Rental desks are in this area.
